Matters of Home, Cash, Career, Me, and More

December 1, 2012 Personal Thoughts

Stuff I Wish To Have Between December 2012 to June 2013

WISH NO. 1: A Decent Home of our Own
I know, I am being too optimistic but who knows? Maybe I’ll win the lottery or something. LOL. Anyhow, I really hope we can buy our own home sweet home by next year – probably not before June 2013, but hopefully, before the year ends. My goal really is not to avoid home mortgage plans and instead, buy a house and lot in cash — and that is why I need time to save up.

WISH NO. 2: A Car
My plan is to keep on selling/swapping our car and adding my savings until we’ll be able to accumulate enough funds to purchase a home of our own. That being said, I really don’t know if we’d still have a car after we buy our would-be home sweet home. Maybe we’d exhaust all our funds then – or maybe not. I hope not. We’ve been used to having a car so I really hope we can keep one.

WISH NO. 3: A Better Play/Study Room for Yana, Ysha, and Yza
This Xmas, I’m planning to prettify the kid’s playroom by adding more toys and other room decors. I plan on buying new toy sets, wall decors, and toy storage boxes – and I plan on replacing the playmats – with a thicker one – and also get them a new playtent plus some school supplies.

WISH NO. 4: A new phone
The kids did something with my Sony Experia X10 Mini Pro and now, it’s LCD is no longer functioning – meaning it’s just totally black and blank even when you turn the phone on. — Update: I bought a Motorola EX115, a simple QWERTY phone with dual sim feature. Sadly, it isn’t a smart phone but it will do for now.

WISH NO. 5: A new camera
The GE camera suffered the same fate as that of the Sony Experia … so now, we also don’t have a digital camera at home. Poor us 🙁 Anyhow, I wish I can have a new digital camera. It doesn’t have to be a DSLR, I just want a small one – something which I can put inside my purse and will not add weight when I need to carry my kids in my arms.

WISH NO. 6: A 32-inch TV for Yana, Ysha, and Yza’s playroom – and a DVD player
There has been a TV war in our home for the whole year. lol. We can’t watch the movies we want because we share the TV with our kids – and so, we have no choice but to indulge ourselves with animated kiddie movies instead. That’s why I want to get them a TV of their own in their playroom. That way, I can just record all their KIDS123 videos plus their fave shows and let them watch during their playtime upstairs.

WISH NO. 7: A Kindle, a Samsung Galaxy Note, or an iPad Mini
A simple Kindle will do but I won’t say no to a Samsung Galaxy Note or to an iPad Mini 🙂

WISH NO. 8: A Sofa Set
If we will be able to buy a home of our own, I want a new Sofa Set for the new living room. I want something with a minimalist, modern design.

WISH NO. 9: An Oven
I am a frustrated baker. The only cakes I have made are small rice cakes (puto), refrigerator cakes, and hotcakes in a pan (and a huge, thick hotcake ‘baked’ using our rice cooker). If I can just buy an oven, I’d like to bake tons of cupcakes, cookies, and cakes for my kids.

WISH NO. 10: TBDL (To be determined later. lol)

  1. […] I think this is burnout, or not. Maybe I’m just in my slacker state now. Maybe I just have to rest for a while, take a few days off and find some inspiration. I don’t know. What I do know however, is that I cannot afford to slack and be ‘burned out’. I have to do something that would put the spark back in writing. That spark or zing thing better come fast because I still have tons of goals to work on. […]

  2. […] Cheesecakes are love. Really. I just wish this one was thicker… and I also hope that by the end of the year, I’ll be able to make my own no bake cheesecake at home. That’s one additional – but tasty goal for me this year. […]
